The Origin of Banyuurip
“WATER THAT MAKES PROSPEROUS”

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Galuhwati. She was smart, beautiful, and sweet. She was a princess of Majapahit Palace. She has a servant who everyday always care with her. She called Kencur. Kencur was a beautiful woman, diligent, patient, dan gentle. Galuhwati also lived with her brother, Prince Joyokusumo.
Over the months, Joyokusumo is getting closer with Kencur. He started to love her. Unfortunetly, because of their closeness that more than just a friend, Kencur isn’t allowed to work there. That makes Joyokusumo hopeless and sick. And then,  his father, Hayam Wuruk, came to attend him.
“Oh, my pity son! How can I help you now?”
“It’s okay, dad. Never mind.”
“Please, be honest! I have known everything, is all about Kencur, right?”
“Hmmm… yeah… She has gone without my permission.”
“Ha? Hahahaha… Oh my Lord!  Hey, you can find a new girl. A sexy, pretty, and aww… You can get it, boy!”
“No… no… no…no… dad. I just want her, alright?!”
Yes, Kencur has gone. She has become a main servant for Princess Kusumawardhani. Become a main servant, that means Kencur is prohibited to get married.
“Oh, my son. Kencur? Hahaha…. She is just a servant.”
“No, dad! You don’t know me and you don’t understand me.”
“No! I’ll never give my permission to you get merried with her! Forever.”
Joyokusumo is hopeless and he determine to leave the palace as far as he can go. Galuhwati also followed him. In the midnight, both of them took a rest in the forest. Suddenly, there was a tiger.
“Princess, wake up!”
“Why? Why! What’s up?”
“Ti… ti… tiger! Run! Hurry up!”
“Oh, no, God! I’m afraid.”
After fighting over and over, the tiger died. Approximately twenty kilometers the way that they have been through, finally they arrived at Bonorowo, their grandpa’s house. But, actually, their grandpa has gone. And then they stoped off in the small dryness village, that made Galuhwati got sick. From time to time, Galuhwati got dehydration and faired.
“Help! Help! Someone please help my sister!”
“Why? What’s matter?”
“Water… water! Give us water!”
“I’m so sorry. I having no much water for you!”
The sun was shining so bright. Joyokusumo also fainted. Then, he was dreaming about his grandpa who gives him a Panubiru keris and grandpa suggest him to immediately use it. After that, Joyokusumo woke up and tried hard to stand up with her Panubiru. Suddenly, water came out from the hole on the ground. Source of water flow everywhere. That village is dryness no more. People called this village Banyuurip.
